Hi Everyone,
Advice is an opinion or suggestion given to someone, about what should be done.
Then what the hell is wrong with advice, i hate it when offered when I didn't ask for it.
The person giving advice want to be understood, want to be understood, want to be in a superior position.
Now imagine this. If you’re looking up to someone else, they’re looking down on you. At least that’s how it feels to me when someone hands me advice, especially advice I didn’t ask for.
“Do you honestly think you understand my situation better than I do?” I want to say. “Or that you know how my problems should be handled? Who do you think you are?”
I’ve recently had people tell me that, I should try to bowl fast, if I bowl slow i would give more runs, the other guy (my mentor) said me to focus on the line and length while bowling. I get too many advice now and then, that is why i hate getting advice by everyone.
When someone offers their opinion on what I could be doing differently, it can sometimes feel like criticism for me.
So If someone doesn’t ask for it, don’t chime in with your input. If you’re itching to give advice, ask for permission.
Okay guys That's it for this week.
Catch you all next Saturday
Until then, feel free to share your feedback and thoughts.
