'Ajeeb rasta hai yee' was playing on the radio, it was 9 pm in the night, it was heavy rain. Arjun and Sanjana were in the car, they just got recently married. Sanjana was really pissed of with her mother in law, the had a fight about something trivial, because of that there was a rift going on between Sanjana and Arjun. It felt like a soviet union cold war, no words exchanged, just old school Hindi music playing on the radio.

"zzz zzz, we interrupt this broadcast to bring you an emergency message, on the highway between Chandigarh and Beer, there is an unknown  killer on the loop we received multiple reports that there is an armed dangerous man walking around and murdering innocent civilians, we recommend you to be cautious, and do not stop while going through these roadways.

Suddenly Arjun looked to Sanjana, "do you think something gona happen to us, I think we are fine right, Sanjana looked to him, still angry and she din't say a word, she looked back at the road staring straight ahead.

They continued for another two hours, the rain got stronger until it eventually just gave away, complete silence! and what happens when rain gives away is that, the soil gives out smell called petrichor, which make you feel like you've transported to a different island. But there was something sinister about the environment, the wind was howling, it was chilly and whenever the wind is chilly stories become sinister.

tik tik brrr brr, suddenly the car gave away. Arjun had been driving this reliable Santro for last 6 years, there was never any issue with it, why now F**k, said Arjun . I dont know why this isn't working, this has never happened before Arjun took bredth and let it out. It was the middle of the night, he looked at the fuel tank and it looked like it was okay. He din't knew what was wrong in the car, but he knew he passed the mechanic store almost an hour ago.

He looked at Sanjana and said listen, I'm gona go get help because of this killer on the loop, I'm not gona let you come with me, you stay in the car, in fact go to the back seat, lay down on the floor and put the blanket on yourself and cover yourself. And he manually pushed the car in front of a big banyan tree, he said I'm gona remember this banyan tree, because this is where I have to come back, it was just forest and road, no other landmarks, then he said to Sanjana before leaving 'I don't want you to open the door to anybody, when I come back I'm gona knock 3 times, and I want you to open the door only when you here three knocks, not otherwise. Sanjana said okay, I'm worried, do you really have to go, cant we just wait out till the morning. Before she finished her sentence Arjun had already closed the door and was on his way.

Sanjana hid below the back seat and put the blanket on her. She waited, half an hour passed, an hour passed "what must be taking Arjun so long! " two hours passed,now Sanjana was getting really worried. 4 hours passed, Sanjana was breaking out into cold sweat, "where is my husband, what is going on I'm pretty sure that mechanic store is not that far away.

Suddenly she heard for what she had been waiting for, knock knock knock, Sanjana was excited, she breathed the sign of relief, she pulled off the blanket and started to reach towards the door until she froze , a fourth knock , a fifth one, a sixth one. She slid back into the blanket and the knocks continued throughout the rest of the night. Sanjana did not sleep a wink, because of fear.

Was it an animal or was it the killer, where was Arjun. All her fears answered when she herd police siren.

The police car parked right next to hers. A gentlemen stepped out, forced open her door, he said "mam please come with us, he picked her up and put the blanket around her and he asked her to keep walking with him to the car, and said the words 'mam whatever you do, please do not turn around' Sanjana stricken with fear and not ready to listen to any one else, turned around, and what she saw made her scream it was her husband hung on the tree, the knocks were his feet hitting the car. knock knock knock!
